Verisign processes .COM and .NET domain drops according to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).
The scheduled Verisign .COM and .NET drop time is 12:00 UTC. To participate in the .COM and .NET drop, your order must be placed at least 15 minutes before the scheduled drop time.
Because UTC does not observe Daylight Saving Time, the corresponding deadline in U.S. time zones changes by one hour when Daylight Saving Time begins and ends.

The Verisign .COM and .NET drop schedule is based on UTC, not U.S. local time.
When Daylight Saving Time is in effect, U.S. clocks move forward by one hour. When Standard Time returns, clocks move back by one hour.
The Verisign .COM and .NET drop does not move. The local-time equivalent changes.
